Singular and plural nouns:

For singular nouns >>> A/AN + Noun  A writer; An architect

      For plural nouns >>> Noun+ -s writerS; architectS

NB1: EXCEPTIONS: 

A man > 3 men;

A woman > 2 women; 

A child > 5 children;

A person > 10 people

We’re teachers.  [+]  → We’re not engineers. [-] We’re >>> We are

→ We aren’t architects. [-] aren’t >>> are not

You’re students. [+] → You’re not artists. [-] You’re >>> You are

→ You aren’t nurses. [-] aren’t >>> are not

They’re doctors. [+] → They’re not chefs. [-] They’re >>> They are

 → They aren’t managers. [-] aren’t >>> are not
