استفاده از there is , there are برای توصیف اتاقها و وسایل خانه

برای نشان دادن مکان اتاقها و وسایل از حرف اضافه IN استفاده می کنیم.

NB1: We use “IN” for different rooms in the

house/apartment

e.g. in the living room, in the bathroom, etc

سه کلمه upstairs, downstairs, downtown قید هستند

بنابراین برای آنها حرف اضافه IN لازم نیست.

NB2: “Upstairs, Downstairs, and Downtown” are used without a preposition.

e.g. I live downtown

My bedroom is upstairs

There are 2 bedrooms downstairs

The garage is downstairs

There is a bathroom upstairs

برای نشان دادن "بودن یا وجود" اتاقها و وسایل در منزل از there is, there are استفاده کنید.

NB3: Use “There is, and There are” to describe rooms in the house

e.g.  There is a kitchen next to the living room

There are 2 bathrooms in my apartment

درصورت "نبود با عدم وجود" اتاق یا وسایل از NO  استفاده کنید.

در دنباله می توان از اسم مفرد یا جمع استفاده کرد.

NB4: Use “No + singular/ plural nouns”; this means the house doesn’t have those rooms/ parts.

e.g. There is no closet in my room

There are no windows in the basement

و در نهایت برای پرسش درباره تعداد اتاقها یا وسایل از HOW MANY همراه با اسم جمع استفاده می کنیم. حتی اگر جواب ما مفرد یا هیچ باشد!

NB5: Use “How many + plural nouns” to ask about the number of things, people, rooms, etc

e.g. How many rooms are there in the apartment?

There are 5 bedrooms

How many rooms do you have in your place?

I have 3 rooms

How many windows are there in your bedroom?

There are two

How many closets do you have?

We have 4
